Description
From the BAFTA-Award winning studio behind Monument Valley and Assemble with Care comes something entirely new! Join Alba as she visits her grandparents on a Mediterranean island. She is ready for a peaceful summer of wildlife exploration with her friend Ines, but when she sees an animal in danger, she realises she needs to do something about it! This is truly a Mediterranean paradise if you ignore all the litter! From the idyllic beaches to the ancient castle overlooking the town a whole island is ready to be explored. With Ines and your grandfather - who is a total bird nerd - by your side, you can start the movement to save the island. Maybe even the world after that. - Handcrafted visuals. Every little corner of the island has been looked after with great detail. Trust me, it took us a while to make it - Join Alba and Ines to found the AIWRL (really rolls off the tongue doesn't it?), an organisation that can save the island - You will need to gather a bunch of volunteers and the town is full of good people. Help them out and convince them to join you - There are animals everywhere, can you find all the species? What you can expect: - Great music. We worked with Lorena Alvarez, to make a soundtrack that is equal parts Spain and Amazing - This is a Chillectathon. Make your time on the island your own and experience the adventure at your own pace. No rush - A place you want to stay. We based this on our childhood summers and, well, we wish we could go back. This island is the next best thing - Just a feel-good game about running around and doing good deeds

This is such a great all rounder!!The idea and form of play is really good. Keeping your child busy whilst promoting a calm natural environment with mostly nature packed sounds!(great if the parent has to sit nearby and hear it too!) It also teaches your child about all sorts of different animals and their habitats whilst making it a fun sort of treasure hunt adventure. It’s also great for role playing as it engages with different characters making them practice their reading automatically as they have to constantly read the chat bubbles to keep moving. All that was great until the drama arrived!! I gave it 4 and not 5 stars because, even though it engages your child with current and pressing environmental issues, (which is great for awareness!!)at least to a 7 year old it becomes a little stressful having to cope with the amount of growing responsibility that comes with each to do whilst having to face stressful situations like **spoiler alert**a fire and having to search for the litt...

From the screenshots to the description, I kind of had it in my head that this would be similar to Animal Crossing. It’s a very laid back game. There are goals and miscellaneous tasks, all very easy. That’s not a a bad thing though, it doesn’t pose a challenge at all and I guess that’s the point. There is no keeping score, no points to earn, no upgrades to your character. It’s very lighthearted, easy to play and great graphics, pretty sure it runs at 120fps on the iPad Pro too. Unfortunately it’s quite short, I completed it in little over a day. Was hoping for an open world I could revisit and possibly upgrade, but it’s not like that at all. Also as someone else has previously stated, it runs very hot on the iPhone 12. My phone brightness dropped after playing for 10 minutes because of the heat, both in and out of a case. It also hammers battery life, I’d say approx 1-2% a minute, both on iPad Pro 12.9 and iPhone 12. All in all, not bad.

I rarely write reviews for App Store games but this is well and truly deserving. An absolutely beautiful game based on a simple concept with current relevance to the real world. I sense that the game itself is probably directed towards children, yet despite being 30 (insert judgement here) there are few other games I’ve enjoyed more than this. I quite simply wanted to be Alba. Beautiful story. Beautiful characters. Beautifully designed. I adore the freedom to explore on a map that is not overwhelming with non time limited goals that are required for progression but can be played at your own pace. The collectible aspect of the game is a bonus (and a brilliant one) and the use of the phones camera to achieve this is simple yet clever. I only wish it was never ending. Developers - whoever you are - round of applause. You have broken the monotony of mobile gaming and done something very unique. I await the next instalment with anticipation and would love to see what Alba and Ines can achie...

I LOVE the graphics of the game and the whole idea of the game to protect nature, it was really laid back and fun to play. BUT the game was way too short! I finished it in only a couple of hours and by completing all the main storyline tasks I didn’t get a chance to finish side tasks such as replacing the pictures on the boards etc. So I think you shouldn’t able to continue with a main storyline task without first completing one set of side tasks like you should have to complete one picture board before you get a new task. Also my main issue was that it made my new I pad pro overheat constantly and I know it can’t be my device because it ha no technical issues and it doesn’t have enough downloaded data for the system to be overrun or whatever. Also most of the time when I pulled out the phone to scan something, it was almost always upside down so I had to restart the app every time I wanted to take a photo. It was a good one time playing game but it needs an expansion on the storyline...
