I love playing this game and play it near enough daily. I would have given it 5 stars but there seems to be an issue that isn’t getting fixed. I have tried reinstalling the app multiple times but still getting the bug. The problem is when opening the app it sometimes just closes straight away and doesn’t load and I have to press the app a few times to get it to work. Hopefully a dev sees this review and could maybe have a look into it. Apart from that a very good game.

Spent many hours playing this game, why? It was fun and success was achievable, you didn’t have to spend hours on it and could turn in and out, with progress been made in your absence, I didn’t mind spending a bit of money from time to time either. But the game is now a very much pay to win type of thing that you have to spend time in to move forward. The first issue was the explorations, these were half achievable particularly when the event (global quests) give rewards that could be used to explore, the 3 part maps are a farce and impossible to complete never mind be successful in the competition if you didn’t want to spend cash. Second issue, after a couple of years playing you realise that the events are boring and just recycled, with no real rewards or reason to engage. The final nail in the coffin for me was the admirals, I’d collected a good few captains and could use them to move ahead, but admiras feel very basic in comparison. I had a good run with the game but haven’t bother...

I have played seaport for a long time and I love the game as it’s a very simple easy to play game however recently the devs have decided to implement a subscription like service Into the game and it’s completely ruining it for me. £20 subscription for one extra ship an increase in warehouse space and a captain a day is a complete joke. Especially since it’s become £5 a month too to unlock the extra rewards chests. This game while still enjoyable is now fast becoming a cash grab and it’s likely I’ll lose interest soon. Can we please have a way to mute the subscription ship and captain once we have declined maybe to a button up the side like the event pass as it’s rather annoying having the 4th ship sat there all the time. I would have rated it a 5 months ago but it’s now gone right down in my game estimations and my time spent playing the game is showing that too. Come on pixel fed you can sort this out!

In many ways an alright game. However, it is let down by exceptionally tedious game play. For example in order to collect enough gems to buy a reasonable ship you’ll need to play for around three months every morning, lunch and evening. Upgrade the ships beyond basic upgrades? Another couple of months. I’ve been playing this since Christmas and I’ll see it through to the end (or until it crashes-so far no probs with that), but I find it very hard to recommend to anyone. Possibly if you’re an office worker where you might be able to check in once or twice during the day but you can’t play it for longer than about three minutes at a sitting because once you’ve sent your ships off there is literally nothing to do for the next few hours.
