    This is only for the hardcore gamer. It is a beautifully designed game as are all the Total War series, but has the typical learning curve associated with the series. I have played it a number of times and cannot get very far before being wiped out. THe combination of diplomacy, mastery of sea/navy and mastery of arts always defeats me. Hours of playing time involved also which can be a plus or minus depending on your POV. I have played the ACW and ROME Total War series also. Found the Rome one to be the least involved as far as learning curve. The ACW one had a convulted chain of command and never really worked for me.
